Exchange Server 2013 Standard User CAL Open Gov
The Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 brings you a rich set of technologies, features, as well as services to your Exchange Server product line. The server's goal is to support people along with organizations; as work habits usual evolve and change as a business starts to scale and grow. Simultaneously, the Exchange Server 2013 also helps lower the total cost of ownership.
After setting up your new teammate (or employee) with Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 Standard for the email use, the next step will require that you provide them with a standard user CAL.
State, local as well as federal government agencies that participate in the Microsoft Software Assurance program and who may use Exchange Server 2013 Standard as their mail server can now purchase a user client access license (CAL) at program prices.
The user's CAL is needed by any government employee that has an email account on an Exchange system. This license (which is very important) allows for easy access to the Exchange server. The 2013 version is a powerful email, calendar as well as contacts tool that can be used on a PC, smartphone or a web browser.
Since this is a user license, the government employee can apply the license to various devices as mobility may be one of the requirements of the job. As more employees start to use Exchange on their mobile devices, this version includes device policies that allow businesses to create approved mobile device lists as well as enforce PIN lock procedures.
Customer Feedback and Reviews
Here is what some pipe are saying about this product:
We use The Calendar The Most
“Everyone in our small company uses Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 Standard User CAL and Software Assurance Open Gov in our organization to manage email and our calendar and we recently upgraded to Office 365 to manage all our information company wide. Exchange manages email well and is easy to use across multiple platforms including desktops, laptops, mobile phones and tablets. We use the calendar function the most. With 8 managing partners, and 40 staff members it helps us keep track of who is in the office, who is in a meeting and which conference room is being used. It is also used to keep track of who is using video conference so we can keep the streaming down during those moments.” - Gaven Knight
A Great Tool
“My previous and current employers utilize Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 Standard User CAL and Software Assurance Open Gov throughout the entire organization to communicate both internally and externally. It helps us share information, view each other's calendars and schedule meetings easily. There have been times that Exchange is unable to connect with the server and emails do not get sent. While it is rare and could possibly be an issue on our end, it is inconvenient in a corporate environment regarding efficiency and productivity.” - Gustavo Osborn
“I use Gmail and Google Drive Calendar, and while the collaborative feature of Google Drive is extremely helpful for remote work, it is extremely helpful to copy/paste from any MS Office application directly into MS Exchange without having to reformat. Items typically need to be reformatted in Gmail from MS Office. Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 Standard User CAL and Software Assurance Open Gov contains all of the features needed from both business and personal communication aspects. It is a Microsoft product, so copying/pasting and formatting from other Office applications is seamless. I feel it comes down to user preference. Exchange is competitive and offers great features and integration offered by most email account providers.” - Yaritza Mercado
For governmental offices, this is an exceptional program that makes communicating and transferring information to other members, staff and groups much more comfortable and more importantly much safer.
Aside from the safety, along with the relative ease of email, the ability to schedule your calendar effectively has been (as many reviews stated) to be one of the most advantageous aspects fo using this program.
